Orange-Miso Salad Dressing

  • 1/2 cup orange juice (calcium-fortified is ok)
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon brown miso
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon orange marmalade (I had peach jam in my refrig so that is what I used)
  • pinch white pepper

Orange-Miso Salad Dressing (cont.)

This is very low in fat, has a source of healthy isoflavones from the miso, and tastes delicious (almost good enough to drink - just kidding!)

Use on any green salad, as a seafood marinade, or to perk up any left-over rice or veggies. I mop up any left in my salad bowl with a piece of healthy, whole-grain bread.
